In 2017, Sinchold Ltd entered into a significant partnership with Siemens China Ltd to collaborate on the Black Point Power Station in Hong Kong, marking a pivotal moment in the advancement of the region's power generation capabilities. The total order placed by Siemens for this project included the delivery and commissioning of an advanced power block configured on a single-shaft design. The heart of this power block comprises cutting-edge technology, including an SGT5-8000H gas turbine, known for its high efficiency and low emissions, and an SST5-5000 steam turbine designed to harness residual heat from the gas turbine for additional power generation. Complementing these turbines is a water-cooled SGen5-3000W generator, manufactured in Germany, ensuring robust performance under varying load conditions. The integration of the SPPA-T3000 control system further optimizes plant operations through sophisticated automation and monitoring capabilities.
Sinchold Ltd played a crucial role in this ambitious project by taking on the responsibility for the supply and construction of the entire track system required for heavy machinery operations within the power station. This track system, inclusive of crane rails and associated fasteners and accessories, is indispensable for the safe and efficient movement of heavy equipment during the installation and maintenance phases. The precision and durability of the track system are paramount, as they support the operational integrity of the power station's infrastructure.
